Brief process

How a learning engagement dashboard brief unfolds

A clear sequence for academic coordinators who need panels ready for a dated programme board, not an open-ended design exercise.

Before we draft

Context we need from your coordinating team

Tell us which meeting the pack must serve, which cohorts sit inside the conversation, and which indicators your faculty already trusts. Bring anonymised extracts, last term’s board notes, and any timetable quirks that shape attendance.

We will not ask for identifiable student records. Aggregated or anonymised summaries are enough to shape honest panels.

Sequence

Five stages from enquiry to delivery

  1. Enquiry call to confirm the board date, audience, and whether a commission, review session, or workshop fits.
  2. Indicator workshop—usually ninety minutes—to lock cohort boundaries and the three to five signals the pack will carry.
  3. Draft panels delivered for your coordinating team’s internal read, with annotation notes in plain language.
  4. One revision cycle focused on clarity, legend wording, and what belongs in the appendix.
  5. Final delivery pack for print and screen, plus a short handover so the presenting coordinator can speak to each panel.

Timing

Plan backwards from the board date

Flagship commissions usually need three to five weeks once extracts arrive. Term review sessions can sit closer to the meeting if materials land five working days ahead. Accreditation packs follow the evidence volume you already hold.
